Epidemic Preparedness and Management Under Resource-Poor Settings

In Africa epidemic prone diseases like cholera meningitis and viral haemorrhagic fevers are serious causes of morbidity and mortality but many countries remain ill-prepared due to overwhelming public health challenges amidst meager resource. This book provides a practical approach to the management of epidemics under resource-poor settings using the meningitis outbreak which occurred in Ghana in 2015/2016 with particular reference to the Tain District of Brong Ahafo Region. The book should be especially useful to health professionals as well as agencies and individuals with interest in epidemic management.
