<p>E're This'll Make You Laugh is the true story of a young boy evacuated from London's EastEnd at the age four years and a half to the small village of Henham in the Hertforshire countryside (now Essex) during the Second World War. It was an idyllic life for a young boy living on a farm surrounded by fields and animals. However the shocks awaiting young Dennis on his return to London after the War was over were alarming to say the least. The second part of the book is mainly of his upringing and schooling during his teenage years and some of the escapades he got up to. This book is of special interest to people living in or around these times or younger folk interested in how the children lived and played in the forties and fifties.</p>
