In any profession the health of the worker should always be advocated. However in order to increase productivity or even by carelessness workers often work in wrong postures for prolonged and repetitive periods of time causing serious health and musculoskeletal problems such as MSDs. In civil construction there is the aggravating factor that workers perform manual work and physical effort. Another relevant element is the environmental condition of the construction site factors such as lighting dust noise temperature and exposure to bad weather can lead to complications for the construction worker. This research makes a study of the conditions to which masonry laying masons are submitted to perform their work analyzing the construction site ergonomically and the complaints of these workers regarding pain. The mason was considered in this study because he is one of the workers who takes the longest time to finish his activity (masonry laying) in the construction site being one of the last to finish all his task in the total time of the construction site. This research is aimed at all those involved in civil construction and occupational safety.
