These feelings at times may even be loving or sexual feelings which arise during the course of psychotherapy. These sexual and loving feelings have been termed erotic countertransference. This book explores the meaning and manifestation of erotic countertransference particularly within in a psychoanalytic treatment context. These difficult and complex feelings may have various origins which will be examined and looked at.
