It is the mastery of basic cognitiveprocesses to the point where there is the analysis of meaning. It is a means of languageacquisition of communication and of sharing information and ideas. It is a complexinteraction between the text and the reader which is shaped by the reader's priorknowledge experiences attitude and language community which is culturally andsocially situated. The reading process requires continuous practices developmentand refinement. Now the teaching of reading is made a teaching component in manyschools across the advanced countries.
