Essence of Tokpar

<p>The Tokpar race is divided. Within this social turmoil Jonas from one faction falls in love with Teresa from another. A failed kidnapping of Teresa ends in tragedy—and sets Jonas on the path toward revenge and justice.</p><p>A fantasy with a unique twist—the tension revolves not around dragons or shapeshifters but around the interaction between the Tokpar and the Oidhche—two groups of people with the same heritage of special gifts which stems from an extra organ (an essence). <em>Essence of Tokpar: Finding Balance</em> introduces readers to these dynamic people as Jonas a Tokpar follows a trail of misdeeds committed by the Oidhche which ultimately breaks an ancient contract between the Oidhche and Tokpar factions. Though a dark story runs through <em>Essence of Tokpar: Finding Balance</em> the characters are inherently a peace-loving people searching for balance in their lives which ultimately can bring about the joy they all seek.</p><p>Author C. M. Carter’s fantasy series will continue with book two <em>Essence of Tokpar: Playing with Fire</em>.</p>
