Essential Concepts of General Chemistry

This book “Essential Concepts of General Chemistry” is written specifically for student in tertiary institution for the award of Higher and National Diploma NCE PGD as well as B.Sc. (Hons) in the University Polytechnics and Colleges of Education. It is also written in a simple language with sixteen (16) chapters which were broken into sections and smaller units so as to facilitate easy understanding comprehension and recapitulation of the content principles and applications of general chemistry. In this book there are a lot of solved and unsolved problem from standard examination bodies such as IJMB WASSCE/SSCE NECO and UTME that were added at the appropriate places so as to assist and keep the student abreast in problem-solving skills since there are a lot of exercises with their answers provided at the end of each chapter. This is because it is designed to cover the syllabi of the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination Ordinary and Higher National Diploma Courses of Polytechnic General Certificate of Education Advance level (GCE ‘A’ Level) and undergraduate Courses in Chemistry for Science and Science related programs in Nigerian Universities.
