Ethanol Fumigation in IC Engines

In this book the main focus is the study of performance and emission characteristics by ethanol fumigation with the different flow rate of ethanol and different injection timing in a stationary single cylinder C.I. engine. The result of the study was found improving the performance of the engine and decreasing in harmful emissions. As well as advance the injection timing the brake thermal efficiency is increased and the major pollutants i.e. NOx smoke emission etc. are decreased which is the main advantage of ethanol fumigation in C.I. engine.
