Ethics lessons in the new secondary school

This paper deals with the relevance of ethical values in today's world. It addresses the question of whether ethics should be taught in secondary schools and if so in what form. After a brief introduction and definition the legal framework for ethics and religious education in Austria is outlined. This paper deals with the current situation regarding ethics and religion in today's society. Finally teaching materials for ethics and religious education are presented.
