Ethnoarchaeological study on Grinding Stone in Simada South Gondar

Ethno-archaeology is a combination of archaeological and ethnographic type of research. Grinding stone also the mirror to reconstruct the ancient food processing technology. So the writer of this book tried to investigate the ancient food processing technology through ethnographic study. The tradition of using grinding stones in Simada South Gondar North Western Ethiopia is still practicing. As different archaeologists believed that this tradition goes back to neolithic period. Therefore the writer argued as the region has a long tradition of using grinding stones as a food processing technology until now.
