This book discusses the relationship between the traditional knowledge of Candomblé communities and biodiversity and geodiversity resources. It presents a methodology for identifying potential natural spaces for the practice of outdoor rituals in the municipality of Santa Luzia MG. The methods applied were based on ethnocartography and geotechnologies techniques. It is hoped that this content will serve as a tool for raising the profile and appreciation of communities of African origin as well as supporting municipal planning and the creation of public policies.
