European Anti-Muslimness With and Without Muslims:

Europe was and still is an attractive destination for whoever is searching for an improved quality of life. However migrants lives in Europe are not free of problems. This book aims to investigate one problem facing migrants in Europe: Islamophobia. It compares the Eastern and the Western part of the graying continent and shows how complex the differences between these two parts of the world are. Specifically it compares the lives of Muslims in France a Western European country and Hungary an Eastern European country. In both countries Islam and Muslims were securitized one way or another. Accordingly this book presents the different reactions to these attempts of securitization. An important question to be raised here: who should be more Islamophobic and more respondent to these attempts of securitization? Hungary which has a number of Muslims not exceeding more than one percent or France which has a relatively larger number of Muslims and suffers from terrorism everyday and night. This book would examine this puzzle.
