In recent years computer games have seen growth in users complexity and modding. Modding user-created game modifications shared freely on platforms like Nexus Mods plays a significant role in extending game lifecycles and enhancing their functionality. However there's a lack of research on mods' popularity and quality. This study analyzes mods to distinguish popular from unpopular ones and identify factors influencing positive evaluations. Using logistic models and statistical calculations the study examines 40865 mods in four dimensions (Mods Categories Mods Documentation Mods Community Contribution and Modders Characteristics) and 27 characteristics. The research aims to provide insights into modding's impact on games and the factors that drive popularity and positive evaluations among mod users.
