About The Book

Patient satisfaction is a key indicator of healthcare quality and the aim of this study was to assess patient satisfaction in the health facilities (Fosa) of the Djiri health district. It was an analytical cross-sectional study conducted among 441 exhaustively selected patients between October 14 and December 14 2022. Data were collected using a questionnaire via Kobo Collect and analyzed in R Studio 4.2.1 using bivariate and multivariate analyses. The most represented age group was 27 to 35 (36.73%) with an average age of 31.4 ± 10.3 years. The sample was predominantly female (66%) giving a sex ratio of 1.94. The results showed a significant association between patient satisfaction and quality of care. Patients who perceived poor care were significantly less satisfied (ORa = 23.3; p = 0.001). Similarly the attention paid to patients appeared to be a key factor in satisfaction (ORa = 9.62 ; p = 0.046). patient satisfaction in the Djiri fosa is deemed acceptable
