Evaluation anti-Trypanosoma cruzi of aminoguanidine derivatives

About The Book

Chagas disease a widely distributed parasitic infection in Latin America is a serious public health problem with devastating consequences in terms of human morbidity and mortality. Existing therapeutic alternatives are limited and insufficient mainly due to low efficacy and high toxicity. Aiming at the planning of new antichagasic agents we developed in this work the synthesis of five new substances containing the indol and aminoguanidine hydrazones with potential anti-T. cruzi activity and their biological evaluation.
