Evaluation of a Precision Planter on Direct Seeding of Onion

Onion establishment processes are concerning matters for traditional onion growers because of its high cost mainly at the early stages. It requires close nursing and supervision from land preparation until it reaches its final stages. Therefore the study aimed at using a mechanized approach with emphasis on direct seeding on raised beds using a raised bed shaping machine and a vegetable precision planter and compares this with the traditional methods.
