Adenotonsillectomy is among the most common surgical operation undertaken by otolaryngologists. Its complications especially the postoperative bleeding continues to be the focus of controversies all over the world. However little is known in developing countries and none in Rwanda. The aim of this book is to evaluate the adenotonsillectomy complications in Rwandan referral hospitals. This observational prospective and descriptive study was conducted between July 2013 and January 2014 at UTHK UTHB and KFH. It included patients who underwent adenotonsillectomy. Information about the patient age gender indication for surgery technique complications management and hospital stay was recorded. Our study found a low incidence of adenotonsillectomy complications in Rwandan referral hospitals.
