This study presents an analysis of changes in phonological parameters during sign production in hearing adults who use Libras as a second language in the initial period of language learning. The research presents an analysis of the productions of these hearing signers where the phonological parameters of hand configuration location and movement were selected for analysis. The analysis shows that the greatest number of phonological changes identified occurred in the hand configuration parameter with rare changes in the other parameters.
