Evaluation of the contribution of Community Health Workers in the management of malaria in the home

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the contribution of CHWs in the home-based management of malaria in children under 5 years of age in the GASHOHO Health District. Data entry processing and analysis were done using Word Excel and Epiinfo software (version 3.3.2) and the Khicarré was calculated and the confidence interval of the 95% OR was constructed. The results of this study revealed that 64.89% of the CHWs were satisfied with the contribution of the malaria PECADOM against 35.11% who were dissatisfied and 81.48% of the beneficiaries of the PECADOM services appreciated the work of the CHWs. This study concludes with recommendations for improving the work of CHWs for all actors involved in the management of malaria.
