Correct dental alignment is associated with various factors. Among them is the balance of forces exerted by the lips and tongue on the dentoalveolar structures. Evaluation of the duration and intensity of these forces as well as the location where they are applied is routinely carried out subjectively leading to inaccuracies in diagnosis. Objective methods for measuring the forces applied to the teeth during swallowing would allow greater diagnostic reliability for speech therapists and orthodontists. The aim of this master's thesis was therefore to develop and test a measuring system that would allow the forces suffered by a tooth to be measured with the action of the lips and tongue during rest and the swallowing of saliva.
