About The Book

On a day Durga Prasad Jha or DP is driving to office wading through the Mumbai traffic. The drive is more than an hour long and DP had gulped a litre of water in the morning because on some other day he had read a WhatsApp message about the good a lot of water does to one’s health when had on empty stomach. DP is desperate to reach office now and rush to the gents’ room but the traffic is unpitying. In Krishnan Iyer’s second novel DP talks in the first person about the profundity of his day-to-day experiences that appear first as troubles to him but which amuse him later. There is DP the missus the children and the in-laws. It is DP all through with the other characters coming fleetingly. Woven in this tapestry of quotidian experiences there are strands of DP’s musings that bring a tinge of seriousness to this otherwise humorous narrative.
