Every Step A Prayer

<p>The prevalence of <strong>police violence against the African American community </strong>has been well-documented and there are many examples of unarmed Black men fatally shot by law enforcement. Police brutality has several deleterious effects on African American communities; however <strong>the effects on Black mothers</strong> are overlooked. This study examined and amplified voices and collective experiences of how Black mothers navigate their fears of the possibility of losing their sons when encountering law enforcement in an inherently discriminatory world.</p>
