Unemployment or professional stagnation cause those affected to suffer crises and a loss of direction. This book provides an overview of how crises of orientation arise. It highlights current scientific findings and examines the psychosocial function of work. Furthermore the integration of religiosity into adult education in relation to this topic is discussed. Using a qualitative research approach those affected are interviewed in order to establish a basis for legitimising the topic. The need for help through adult education is highlighted.
