Excursion Sets of Random Fields and its Applications

The mathematical basics needed to understand the theory are developed carefully. Enriched with illustrative examples an easily implementable method for the analysis of a wide range of surfaces e.g. paper or metallic surfaces is provided and therefore suits for direct application.
