Exhortation to Monks ordained in India

<p>This is a collection of one hundred points of advise that was given by the 5th century Greek church father St. John of Karpathos to a collection of monks in the east. It is unclear if this is in fact 'India' in the proper modern sense or just within the Persian Empire. However St. John appears to be interested in offering them direction to controlling their desires observing Christian virtue and holding some community discipline for the various monks submitting to the abbot.</p>
