Existentialism Kierkegaard Heidegger and Sartre a materialist interpretation

This book is the fruit of ten years of hard labour. It is an attempt to understand the philosophy of existentialism as expounded by three different thinkers Kierkegaard Heidegger and Sartre who belonged to diverse countries and periods. It was necessary to situate their thoughts in their historical contexts. The aim was to find out why they propounded their respective theories. All philosophies are products of individual philosophers belonging to a particular class of a particular society at a particular time. Many cross-currents - social cultural economic and political - impinge upon the thoughts of philosophers. The result is like poetry. It is an enormous task to decipher why a philosopher proposes a particular hypothesis. Needless to mention that the present author kept no stone unturned to understand the reason why the thinkers dealt with in this book came out with a particular hypothesis. ...
