Exploration of Characteristics of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete

Since concrete is one of the most widely used material in the construction industry and since it has low tensile strength and small micro cracks forming the steel fibers are so added to improve the structural properties and strength. The use of steel fibers in concrete help in the safety and longevity of the structure. Also with the addition of steel fibers it helps in the durability and functionality of the structure also. Here compressive flexural and split tensile strength tests are conducted on specimens with and without the addition of percentage of steel fibers in the specimens.
