About The Book
Description
Author
Introduction Indian cultural values have always been upheld in practice and principle. But when there is any practice that is not co-linear to the ‘taught’ or ‘imbibed’ values then the person faces an ‘ethical’ dilemma. This is also seen when the profession guides or coaxes the person to do something in his area of work that may not be seen by him as ‘morally’ correct or a right practice. Is the Indian scared of thinking differently? Is he scared of defying norms? Or is there a gender and generational divide in this parameter? Are the younger generation more aggressive and uninhibited? Do they not ‘see’ or ‘seek’ boundaries? The study is exploratory and seeks to begin and be the first of the series to examine values for congruence and conflict at two levels: Individual and organizational. It will also check and explore the concept of values for congruence between types of individual values; and between these two types of values namely individual values and organizational values.
