When Young Navy Vet Tim Ryan Loses His Job With A Construction Equipment Company He Decides To Make Some Money By Taking Extra Duty With His Reserve Squadron. He And His Crew Have Some Off Duty Adventures In The Philippine City Of Olongopo On The Way To Viet Nam And Tim Realizes He Has Acquired Some Heavy Leadership Responsibilities. The Crew Delivers The Aircraft And Remains To Check Out The New Owners In The Operation. During A Flight To Laos Tim Discovers He Has A Stowaway Onboard That Wants To Get Back To Saigon. This Is Where He First Comes In Contact With The History Of The P.I. And Ww2 In Respect To Smuggled Gold. The Stowaway Offers Tim Two Gold Bars In Order To Get To Fly Back With Him To Saigon. Tim Discovers That This Is Only Part Of The Treasure That Is Hidden In Caves Since Ww2 And After A Narrow Escape With Participants In A Coup De Tau And Survival In The Jungle He Decides To Get His Old Pals From Navy Squadron And A Marine Together And Return For The Gold.
