Eye diseases and herbal medicine

In the present book an attempt has been made to give an introduction to eye diseases specially glaucoma and lens cataract with help of extracts of herbal plants specially flowers of Hedychim coronarium and flower roost leaves and bark of Butea monosoerma over allopathic medicines. An antimicrobial study was done of flavonoids and polyphenolic compounds extracted from these plants which proved the efficacy of herbal compounds in the field of medicine thus encouraging the revolutionary treatments.
