A simple childhood is all Tormjere has ever known helping his family raise dogs in a distant untroubled corner of the Kingdom. But the horizon has always beckoned with dreams of fame and adventure and when opportunity arrives he is quick to accept. His first journey into the outside world meets with disaster and the boy finds himself thrust into a role for which he is ill-prepared: guiding a blind priest on a quest to fulfill his holy destiny.What seems a straightforward if daunting task soon reveals a bigger mystery. Together with an unexpected friend and a group of dubious allies they will journey into a dangerous and untamed wilderness in pursuit of a priceless relic.
