Facial Measurements for Selection of Maxillary Teeth
English

About The Book

A study among the five Indian states: Tamil Nadu (Group 1) Kerala (Group 2) Andhra Pradesh (Group 3) Telangana (group 4) and Karnataka (Group 5) involving a hundred subjects per group with a total sample size of five hundred was considered in this study. A standardized digital smiling frontal photograph was captured by a camera at a distance of 56cm. The photograph was then uploaded to the Planmeca Romex Smile design software and facial measurements were recorded for each subject. Along with these measurements for the width of the central incisor and the combined width of maxillary anterior teeth were made. Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to determine the presence of any relationship between a particular facial measurement and the width of a single tooth or a combination of anterior.
