Facility Management (or FM) is a multi-disciplinary subject that's rapidly gaining traction in the global market. The book has dealt with three related topics. 1Bridging the knowledge gap by Quantity Surveyors examines the growing changes in the global economic climate construction industry's response to these changes and how professional competencies are evolving to meet clients' rising demands. It focuses on how the quantity surveying profession is leveraging FM to broaden its scope of services to other industries. 2FM practice in public tertiary institutions examines how Nigeria's public tertiary institutions practice FM. It found a link between quality of facilities and quality of the institutions' products and concludes that achieving educational goals & objectives is predicated on the use of proactive FM practices on the facilities which sadly isn't the case in Nigeria. 3Present trends & emerging outlook is a bold attempt to systematize FM-centered studies published from year 2006-2020. After in-depth analyses of 88 published papers it concludes that studies on FM are still at infancy stage as scholars are yet to embrace it. They can genuinely contribute to its growth.
