Over 15 years ago at age 16 I had cosmetic surgery on my face--a nose reduction and chin implant.I always wanted to be open about my surgery but I felt as if I had to hide it especially from church people. As the stigma against cosmetic surgery changes more and more people are having procedures--1.7 million cosmetic surgeries in the U.S. in 2015 alone--but a lot of people are still keeping quiet about it.I believe it is time for safe and authentic conversations about cosmetic surgery.
