Factors Influencing Utilisation of E-Journals in Kenyan Universities

Developed countries are those that are rich in Information. It is the commodity that turns the wheels of fortune. For years libraries have been charged with the responsibility of providing information to the society. To this end libraries have been acquiring processing circulating and preserving information in all media with an emphasis on paper-based materials such as books and print journals. Information continues to grow and our society depends more and more on information to survive and flourish'. However our society is constantly evolving and adapting to Information Technology necessitating the library to adopt the same in its information provision. This book details many of the challenges that face African Universities from fully embracing electronic journals. It also provides possible solutions to mitigate on the same with practical research work carried out in one of the Kenyan premier Universities.
