Faith's Last Hurrah!

<p>'This collection of over 200 poems rhymes and limericks—86% of which have not hitherto been published—constitutes my final Hurrah!<br />My health makes the title inevitable.<br />The progression of disease makes this final Hurrah! even more emphatic.<br />I now know existentially the God of Jesus is indeed present with me in every moment of decline and I want to celebrate that Presence with all my residual being!<br />I have a favourite Bible text: “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot smother it.” With this text I present these poems rhymes and limericks as one elderly pastor’s testament to the grace-gift of a personal faith which transcends a plethora of doubts.'<br />From the Foreword by Bruce David Prewer</p>
