This book deals with the problem of family cohesion and school performance. It examines which children from close-knit families and which from broken families perform better at 2nd level secondary school and why some perform so poorly at school while others do not. This phenomenon can be observed not only in Central Africa but all over the world. The purpose of this document is to help readers understand the impact of these factors. It is based on the socioconstructivist paradigm of Vygotsky and many others.
