<p>As society evolves and cultures collide how do you stay true to your family values? As immigrants from Pakistan a young couple arrive in north-west England with dreams of a better life bringing with them their rich cultural heritage and deeply rooted values. Now in the 1990s their three working-class British-Pakistani Muslim children navigate the turbulent path from adolescence to adulthood. Laila dreams of making her parents proud even if it means sacrificing her personal ambitions. Nazia the rebel battles against conformity. Meanwhile their steadfast brother Farid refuses to accept anything that could tarnish the family's honour. Family Values is told through the eyes of each family member painting a vivid portrait of their struggle to balance faith tradition and modernity in a rapidly changing world. Despite facing numerous challenges and increasing scrutiny on their community their story is one of hope resilience and the enduring power of family.</p>
