Fast Pyrolysis of an agricultural residue for bio energy products

Bio-energy products from agricultural biomass residue such as paddy husk is an attractive option due to its abundance in Malaysia. Thermo-chemical process such as fast pyrolysis shows a great potential for production of high quality bio-oil and bio-char production. A detailed experimentation and their results are presented for fast pyrolysis process chemistry rectors used for fast pyrolysis process catalytic application for upgrading the biomass pyrolysis vapors zeolite based catalysts deoxygenation mechanism and role of zeolite pore topology and acidity on biomass conversion. The research on one step high quality production of bio-oil and bio-char from agricultural residue is still explored completely. The book serves as a reference material for students process engineers and scientists working in the area of bio-oil production and fast pyrolysis of biomass.
