Fast Red dye degradation by Plant Extracts

Studies have been performed to have appropriate plant species which has proper enzyme to degrade coloured substances.Presently phytoremediation technique is carried out with the two different plant species namely: Polyalthialongifolia and PhyllanthusNiruri extracts and immobilizing enzyme activity present in that plant. These enzymes were immobilized by using Sodium Alginate and Calcium chloride because immobilized enzymes are more stable. Spectrophotometric analysis was performed to determine the degradation of the dye.
