Fauna diversity in the Miriti Environmental Protection Area Amazonas Brazil

The diversity of fauna catalogued in the Miriti Environmental Protection Area resulted in 163 species from 80 different families. Of the 163 species of fauna identified 26 were from the Herpetofauna (16%) 59 from the Avifauna (36%) 24 from the Mastofauna (15%) and 54 from the Ichthyofauna (33%). And of the 80 families of fauna identified in the survey 15 were from the Herpetofauna (19%) 28 from the Avifauna (35%) 19 from the Mastofauna (24%) and 18 from the Ichthyofauna (22%).
