At the time of this book’s creation the topic of ‘fear of crime’ in Ireland only focused on persons aged eighteen and older. This research is centered on persons aged fifteen to seventeen. Young people's experiences and perception of crime and indeed Fear of Crime has a direct affect on their local community and shapes their view on crime. A view which may not change as they grow into adulthood. It is therefore important to record such views.
