Iwas Born In Klerksdorp Amining Town In Thenorth West Province Of South Africa. After Highschool I Completed My Tertiary Studies At Thepotchefstroom University Where I Obtained A B.A. Degree As Well As A Post-Graduate Diploma Ineducation To Become A Teacher. While Teaching Istudied Part-Time And Obtained An Honors DegreeAnd Later A Masters Degree In Afrikaans. When Imoved To Mafikeng From Klerksdorp I Completed Adoctorate With A Study On The ‘Haiku In Afrikaans’ Atthe University Of North West. I Recently Retired Afterbeing A Teacher For 31 Years.Just Before Retiring I Was Diagnosed With Maculardegeneration Which Meant I Could No Longerwork As A Teacher. And I Was Also Diagnosed Withpsoriasis On My Hands And Feet Which Meant That Ihave To Use A Wheelchair Most Of The Time. In Spiteof These Conditions I Was Determined To Still Dosomething. That’S Why I Started Writing. My Motto Inlife There Are Only Two Ways To Go. Go Down Orgo On. I Made A Decision To Go On.
