Feeds and feeding in the green mud crab Scylla serrata

The book details the research work and their results obtained on the feeding trails and the evaluation of efficacy of different types of feeds (fresh processed and combinational natural diets and the formulated pellet diets)for the juveniles of the green mud crab Scylla serrata. The present book gives an attempt (1) to evaluate the efficacy of conventionally used feeds and to identify suitable conventional feed combinations for mud crab culture (2) to elucidate the energy budget for juvenile mud crabs (3) to estimate the dietary protein requirements and (4) to evaluate the efficacy of various lipid supplements in formulated diets of mud crab. The book is organized into eight chapters.
