Feminist Jurisprudence

Feminist jurisprudence examines the pervasive influence of patriarchy on legal structures and highlights its role in reinforcing male dominance over women girls and individuals who do not conform to cisgender norms such as those in the LGBTQ+ community. It explores the intersections of law and sexuality while advocating for the reform of gender injustices exploitation and restrictions.To achieve these goals feminist jurisprudence incorporates insights from feminist epistemology feminist political theory and other branches of feminist philosophy to analyze how legal institutions uphold masculinist norms. Contemporary feminist jurisprudence also draws from diverse scholarly perspectives including international human rights theory postcolonial theory critical legal studies critical race theory queer theory and disability studies.
