<p>Prof Dr Martin K Purvis spent most of his academic life with the Department of Information Science at the University of Otago Aotearoa New Zealand. Former and current fellow academics and postgraduate students contributed to this collected volume of scholarly articles and reflections to honour the immensely productive career of Prof Purvis. This festschrift's breadth and depth of topics is indicative of Martin's expertise and interests and is a call for rejuvenating a renaissance view of information science and computing.
