This paper provides insight into the experiences of women diagnosed with fibromyalgia in the context of their interpersonal relationships before and after diagnosis. A qualitative study of narrative design was carried out. Through a semi-structured interview with 8 Colombian women it was found that the participants experienced significant changes in their various areas after learning of their diagnosis of fibromyalgia and initiating their symptomatology although in the four contexts analyzed changes were evidenced in two ways: they appeared as an opportunity to enhance the bond or on the contrary to fragment their interactions.
