<p>1- The book titled <b>&ldquo;Financial Institutions & Markets&rdquo;</b> is an edited book which deals with the basic concepts of the financial markets and financial institutions.</p><p>2- For the convenience of the students there are five units in the book which is not classified in the chapters. All the units are contributed by the two authors. The first unit deals with the basic reforms and overview of the financial institutions and the financial system the RBI Act deregulation and capital requirements of various financial institutions.</p><p>3- The second unit deals with introduction to financial markets and its role in Indian stock market integration of Indian financial markets debt market and its role and functions book&ndash;building process and various instruments which are issued by financial institutions.</p><p>4- The third unit is emphasizing on the secondary market of India and the mechanism of NSE & BSE dematerialization process ADRs GDRs and the various stock exchanges in India.&nbsp;</p><p>5- The fourth unit deals with the major instruments traded in stock market i.e. equity shares debentures myths attached to investing in stock markets etc.&nbsp;</p><p>6- And the fifth unit deals with the money market and debt market of India and their role participants and various segments of these markets apart from that it consists of DFHI and STCI its history facts about both of these institutions and its role in money market of India.</p><p></p>
