Alcohol and drugs begin to take a toll on him and eventually take him down a road from which he will spend the rest of his life getting back from. After breaking his neck in a horrific one-car accident following a night of partying he spent close to an hour in the company of the devil fearfully waiting for emergency room personnel to bring him back to life. </span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 92 105 1)>Eight weeks later he came out of a coma and began an incredible journey from being a quadriplegic to independence. At college his indomitable spirit made him a campus favorite-from Student Senate to honorary captain of the football team life went on. After losing over half of his body's volume of blood even the attending surgeon recognized the miracle.
