At age 12 he was forced to emigrate to the United States the night power changed hands in Cuba January 1 1959 The book is divided into two sections: Cuba (before 1/1/1959) and Exile (after 1/1/1959). Major challenges induce him to turn into a Superhero (Superboy) who grows to become an adult (Superman) who overcomes some of his childhood weaknesses. The author (Orlando Garcia-Piedra MD) asks his family ghosts: Mom Dad and his brother Humberto and God for help in writing his memoir. They accept and become his coauthors leading most conversations.
